The Halifax Light Opera Society Juniors will be performing Lionel Bart’s Oliver! at The Halifax Playhouse Theatre, February 2025.
Launch night will be held on Monday 2nd September 2024 at The Wellington Rooms, Wellington Street South, Halifax. Anyone aged 8-18 is welcome to join us to find out more about the show and auditions. To register your interest and receive more information, please email [email protected].
We are thrilled to announce that our recent production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr. has been honoured with the Councillor's Youth Award, NODA North East Region!
2025 marks 50 years of HLOSJ and it is set to be a monumental year for the society.

If you are aged between 8 to 18 and love all things acting, singing and dancing then we want you to get involved!
We are a charity based in the Halifax area. Established in 1975, the society was set up to provide children with the opportunity to perform in musicals. We are run by volunteers, most of whom have a fond connection to the Society in one way or another.
