Our Story

Established 1975...

After a production by the seniors’ society of Oliver!, Stephen Jamieson (playing Fagin at the time) came across the kids in his gang upset that the show was over and that there was no reason for them to stay together.

Stephen got together with George Mitchell to produce a Christmas concert for the seniors’ society. Following that the Juniors performed their first show together — Hip Hip Horatio — with most of the kids from the Oliver! Production.

Since then HLOS Juniors have performed an amazing musical almost every year, as well as numerous smaller concerts and collaborations with the seniors’ society.
