“Our years involved with the society have created memories that we will always cherish.”
To be a member you need to be between the ages of 8 and 18 during our show, but the society cannot operate without a team of adult volunteers and production staff. If you're interested in being a part of the society, either by producing a show or by volunteering your time, we'd love to hear from you.
Here are some of the things you can do:
Every May we open for applications for the posts of Director, Musical Director and Choreographer to start in the role the following September. The posts run from September to the following February.
You can see the Production Team Application on our resources page to find out what the application involves.
Keep your eyes peeled on our social media for our openings, or contact us for more information.
Our chaperones volunteer their time to assist backstage with the costumes, make-up, hair and general running of our shows. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to build their CV in working with children or in theatre, but it's also a brilliant way to support a local charity.
All our chaperones are required to have a Chaperone's Licence from the local authority. If you'd like to get involved but don't have one then don't worry – we'll talk you through the application process. Please contact us if you would like to get involved.
What goes on in the rest of the theatre is as important as what happens on the stage, and we'd love to hear from you if you're interested in volunteering to help our front of house team, or if you want to get your hands dirty backstage with scenery, props, lighting or more. If you want to find out more about what this involves please contact us.
